Aermacchi MB-339CB

Draken International’s MB-339CB aircraft are exceptionally low time with limited former use in the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF). The aircraft possess a fully integrated suite of navigation and attack systems with individual sensors, computers and displays which provide a modern advanced training and operational capability in both Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground roles. Fitted with the KAISER Strike Attack Bombing Release Equipment (SABRE) HUDWAC systems providing an accurate weapon aiming computer/symbol generator in both the front and rear pilot display units.

The standard 1553 Digital Bus allows Targeting / Electronic Attack pods, Maverick Missiles, inert AIM-9s, and training ordnance to be carried. These capabilities are integrated with Hands On Throttle And Stick (HOTAS) , Multi-Function Displays (MFDs) and a modernized Heads Up Display (HUD) in the front and back seats of this aircraft.

The Draken fleet of nine Aermacchi MB-339CB’s are supported with an extensive inventory of spare parts, spare engines, a full training simulator and current Martin Baker ejection seats. The MB-339CB is expected to outperform the competition in all the various A/A and A/G mission sets well in to the future.
